College for Creative Studies
In the fall 2013 semester, the College for Creative Studies (CCS) approached my visual communications class with the challenge of re-imagining the school’s brand. The result was a semester long group project where we brainstormed, collaborated, and gave the College a fresh new look.
Working with a group of three other students, we designed an identity system for CCS that is rooted in the idea that the College is an “intersection” where the art and design fields meet. At CCS, students learn, grow, and become multifaceted professionals ready for the art and design worlds. This idea of two sides coming together as one cohesive university led us to designing a system based on two intersecting planes.
My role in this group project included brainstorming and collaborating with my teammates, contributing to the visual ideation process, designing wayfinding and miscellaneous accessories, creating various print materials, and designing and copywriting the brand guidelines book.
