Just a girl trying to give her cats their best lives (…and afford the extra guac)

I’m Kirsten—pronounced “kurr-stin,” but it’s okay if you get it wrong (really, it is, I’m used to it)! I didn’t become a designer just because I need a job to pay the bills (I mean, I do, because these student loans won’t pay themselves!). But I became a designer because I’m a passionate maker. As far back as I can remember, I’ve always made things…I’ve never not been making something. That never ending urge to create, and my relentless thirst to learn, are what led me to teach myself Photoshop and Illustrator when I was in middle school. I also taught myself some HTML/CSS and took up a hobby making MySpace and LiveJournal layouts and graphics. #throwback

I don’t design stuff for MySpace or LiveJournal anymore, but making those graphics back then put me down the path I’m on now. I still have that same deeply rooted love for creativity and making, and I bring it to every project I touch.

If I’m not staring at a computer screen, I’m cuddling with my two kitties Oakley and Bianchi, practicing yoga, or binge watching the latest Netflix series.
